West Ham v Leeds: Will West Ham beat Leeds in the FA Cup?

West Ham host Leeds United in the FA Cup 3rd Round on Sunday and will be looking to progress past this stage of the competition fifth successive season.

David Moyes’ Hammers are on a run of two wins on the bounce after beating Watford and Crystal Palace between Christmas and the New Year, which has given them some good momentum heading into 2022.

Having scored seven goals in two away games during that period, West Ham have rediscovered their scoring boots after a mini-blip during December and, despite having to lose Said Benrahma to the AFCON over the next month, there is confidence the team’s attacking threat can continue to make a difference.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds also head into this fixture on the back of a victory after beating Burnley 3-1 last weekend, which put an end to a run of three straight defeats and four games without a win.

The Whites have put their COVID issues behind them and will be looking to build on their last win by shocking the Hammers at London Stadium this Sunday.

It’s the first of two games between these sides at London Stadium in just seven days – both West Ham v Leeds games are on TV – and it’s no surprise to learn that West Ham are favourites to win both games.

But we shouldn’t take Leeds for granted, not with the attacking players like Raphinha and Dan James at their disposal.
